| Ascent Solar Technologies commercializes photovoltaic (PV) modules using its proprietary thin film technology. Co.'s proprietary manufacturing process deposits multiple layers of materials, including a thin film of copper-indium-gallium-diselenide semiconductor material, on a plastic substrate using a roll-to-roll manufacturing process followed by laser patterning the layers to create interconnected PV cells in a process known as monolithic integration. Co. is focusing on integrating its PV products into markets such as aerospace, satellites, near earth orbiting vehicles, and fixed wing unmanned aerial vehicles.
