| Corcept Therapeutics is a commercial-stage company engaged in the discovery and development of drugs that treat severe metabolic, oncologic and neuropsychiatric disorders by modulating the effects of the hormone cortisol. Co. has marketed Korlym (mifepristone) in the U.S. for the treatment of patients with Cushing's syndrome. Co.'s primary compounds have entered the clinic as potential treatments for serious disorders, including Cushing's syndrome, solid tumors (such as ovarian cancer, castration-resistant prostate cancer and adrenocortical cancer with cortisol excess), antipsychotic induced weight gain and non-alcoholic steatohepatitis.
