Co.'s Trappsol Cyclo is a proprietary formulation of hydroxypropyl beta cyclodextrin. It is an orphan drug designated product in the U.S. and Europe, and is the subject of four formal clinical trials for Niemann-Pick Disease Type C (NPC) disease. NPC is a rare and fatal autosomal recessive genetic disease resulting in disrupted cholesterol metabolism that impacts the brain, lungs, liver, spleen, and other organs.
