SPDR S&P International Dividend is an open-end investment management company. The SPDR S&P International Dividend ETF (the “Fund”) seeks to provide investment results that, before fees and expenses, correspond generally to the total return performance of an index that tracks exchange-listed common stocks of companies domiciled in countries outside the United States that offer high dividend yields. In seeking this objective, the Fund uses a sampling strategy. As of Sept 30 2015, the Fund's total assets and investment portfolio totaled $1,146,335,608 and $1,122,808,550, respectively. We show 110 historical shares outstanding datapoints in our coverage of DWX's shares outstanding history.

Understanding the changing numbers of DWX shares outstanding — and comprehending the concept of differing number of shares outstanding in general comparing companies like DWX versus peers — is critical for investors. Many "beginner" or "novice" investors will look at one stock trading at a price of $10 per share and another trading at a price of $20 per share and think the latter company is worth twice as much. Of course, that is a completely meaningless comparison without also knowing how many shares outstanding there are for each of the two companies. Furthermore, via issuance of new shares over time, or the repurchase of existing shares, the number of shares outstanding can fluctuate over the course of history. With this page we aim to empower investors researching DWX by allowing them to research DWX shares outstanding history as well as any other stock in our coverage universe.
