Lamar Advertising is a real estate investment trust. Co. is also an outdoor advertising company. Co. operates in a single operating and reporting segment, advertising. Co. leases space for advertising on billboards, buses, shelters, benches, logo plates and in airport terminals. Co. operates three types of outdoor advertising displays: billboards, which leases majority of its advertising space on two types of billboard advertising displays, bulletins and posters; logo signs, which provides logo sign services in the U.S.; and transit advertising displays, which rents transit advertising displays in airport terminals and on bus shelters, benches and buses.
