Massachusetts Health & Education Tax Exempt Trust is registered as a non-diversified, closed-end management investment company. The Trust's investment objective is to earn a high level of current income exempt from regular federal income taxes and Massachusetts personal income taxes consistent with preservation of capital. The Trust seeks to achieve its objective by investing primarily in Massachusetts "investment grade" tax-exempt obligations issued on behalf of not-for- profit health and education institutions.
