| NewMarket Corporation is a holding company operating through its subsidiaries Afton Chemical Corporation (Afton), Ethyl Corporation (Ethyl) and American Pacific Corporation (AMPAC). Afton and Ethyl develop, manufacture, blend and deliver chemical additives, while AMPAC produces chemicals for solid rocket motors used in aerospace and defense. The Petroleum Additives segment combines various chemicals into additive packages for specific functions. Ethyl also provides contracted manufacturing services to Afton and third parties and markets antiknock compounds in North America.
