| Onconova Therapeutics is a biopharmaceutical company focused on discovering and developing small molecule product candidates primarily to treat cancer. Co. has three clinical-stage product candidates and preclinical programs. Substantially all of Co.'s effort is focused on its primary product candidate, rigosertib, which has been tested in an intravenous formulation as a single agent for patients with higher-risk myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS), and an oral formulation as a single agent in lower risk MDS or in combination with azacitidine for patients with higher-risk MDS. Co.'s other product candidate, Briciclib, is a small molecule targeting an intracellular regulatory protein, Cyclin D1.
