| First Trust NASDAQ-100 Equal Weighted Index Fund is an open-end management investment company. The Fund seeks investment results that correspond generally to the price and yield of an equity index called the NASDAQ-100 Equal Weighted Index (the Index). The Fund will normally invest at least 90% of its assets in common stocks that comprise the Index. The Index is the equal-weighted version of the NASDAQ-100 Index, which includes 100 of the top non-financial securities listed on NASDAQ based on market capitalization. As of Dec 31 2009, the Fund's total assets were $44,413,240 and the Fund's investment portfolio was valued at $40,367,626.
