| Riot Platforms is a Bitcoin mining company. Co. has three reportable business segments: Bitcoin Mining, which focuses on maximizing its ability to mine Bitcoin by growing its hash rate to increase its chances of finding cryptographic hashes that create new blocks on the Bitcoin blockchain; Data Center Hosting, which is operated at its Bitcoin mining facility in Rockdale, TX and focuses on providing co-location services for institutional-scale Bitcoin mining companies; and Engineering, which designs and manufacturers power distribution equipment and custom engineered electrical products and also provides electricity distribution product design, manufacture, and installation services.
