| Market Vectors Short Municipal Index ETF is an open-end management investment company. The Fund seeks to replicate as closely as possible, before fees and expenses, the price and yield performance of the Barclays AMT-Free Short Continuous Municipal Index. The fund normally invests at least 80% of its total assets in fixed income securities that comprise the Short Index. The Short Index is comprised of publicly traded municipal bonds that cover the U.S. dollar denominated short-term tax-exempt bond market. As of Apr 30 2013, the Fund's total assets were $205,540,725 and its investment portfolio was valued at $202,913,109.
