| Telesat is a satellite operator, providing its customers with communications services. Co. is engaged in developing and operating geosynchronous orbit-based (GEO) satellite services business as well as Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellites and terrestrial infrastructure, called Telesat Lightspeed. Co.'s GEO satellite fleet and ground infrastructure provide a platform supporting: video distribution and direct-to-home neighborhoods in North America; and connectivity satellite services for customers for backhaul, corporate networks, maritime and aero services and video distribution and contribution.
