Through its subsidiary, Village Bank (the Bank), Co. provides a range of banking and related financial services including checking, savings, certificates of deposit and other depository services, and commercial, real estate and consumer loans, primarily in the Richmond, VA and Williamsburg, VA metropolitan areas. Co. has two segments: commercial banking, which provides the mortgage banking segment with the short-term funds needed to originate mortgage loans through a warehouse line of credit; and mortgage banking, which leases premises from the commercial banking segment.
