The Technology Select Sector SPDR Fund is an open-end management investment company. The Technology Select Sector SPDR Fund (the “Fund”) seeks to provide investment results that, before expenses, correspond generally to the price and yield performance of publicly traded equity securities of companies in the Technology Select Sector Index (the “Index”). In seeking this objective, the Fund uses a replication strategy. We show 479 historical shares outstanding datapoints in our coverage of XLK's shares outstanding history.

Understanding the changing numbers of XLK shares outstanding — and comprehending the concept of differing number of shares outstanding in general comparing companies like XLK versus peers — is critical for investors.
